What Did You Tell Suspect? I was not buying books at this time. I must have told him this 3-4 times. But he insisted that I look at his book. So he pulled his book out of his back pack. It was a discarded old school book. He said look it is here on Amazon for $200.00.
I again explained I was not buying at this time.  I tried to explain that you can list it for anything you want for price. I went on to explain that there are many independent sellers and showed him that the book is listed for sale for $2.94 all over. That just because someone put the book online at Amazon in hopes that someone will pay that amount does not reflect the true value of the book.
He said, “I will take $200.00.”
I said, “No I am not paying you for the book.”
He became very angry, he said, “Those listings did not have a picture.”
I told him, “The book was the same year, same publisher, same title, and was rated. It is the same book.”
Then he started calling me names and I suggested, “If you are so sure the book was worth that he should put it up on Amazon and sell it himself.“
He became very angry and said, “I’m going to do that.” Then he got more angry and yelled, “I’ll just burn the book in front of the store!”

I told him, “No I don’t have your cell phone.”
He said, “Did you find a cell phone out front?”
I said, “No.”
He asked again, “Are you sure you don’t have my cell phone.”
